What Is Multi Translate Pro?
Multi Translate Pro is a Google Workspace add-on that brings Adara Translate directly into Google Docs and Sheets. Translate selected text, entire documents, or spreadsheet columns without leaving your Google app.
Installation
Open the Google Workspace Marketplace and search for Multi Translate Pro. Click Install and grant the required permissions. The add-on needs access to read and modify your documents in order to insert translations.
Permissions Explained
- View and manage documents — Required to read source text and insert translated text.
- Display and run third-party web content — Powers the sidebar interface where you select engines and languages.
- Connect to an external service — Sends text to Adara Translate's API for processing.
First Use in Google Docs
Open a document, then go to Extensions > Multi Translate Pro > Open. A sidebar appears on the right. Select your source and target languages, choose an engine, and highlight the text you want to translate. Click Translate and the result appears in the sidebar. Click Insert to replace the selection or Insert Below to add it after the original.
First Use in Google Sheets
Open a spreadsheet, then launch the add-on from the Extensions menu. Select a range of cells containing source text, choose your language pair and engine, and click Translate. Translations populate in adjacent columns automatically.
Tips
- Use the add-on with a glossary for consistent corporate translations.
- Batch translation in Sheets is faster than translating cells one at a time.
- The add-on uses your Adara Translate credits, so check your balance before large jobs.
